Description
Interactive reading is a green light intervention for all children with or at risk of cerebral palsy. Interactive reading dynamically and simultaneously targets multiple domains, including language, cognition and social-emotional skills. This module explores the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of interactive reading.
By completing this module, you will learn to:
- Understand the multiple benefits of interactive reading for all children and its evidence base
- Apply the fundamentals of interactive reading as a standalone intervention, concurrent intervention or enrichment strategy, using clinical decision making to justify its application and design
- Demonstrate how to deliver interactive reading as a collaborative tool, tailoring to the needs of the infant and family including how to modify and grade the intervention in accordance to transdisciplinary goals
